Summary

Mind Over Mountains is a UK mental wellbeing charity giving support through walks & retreats in nature with professional counsellors & coaches

Detailed description

Mind Over Mountains has recently launched a national fundraising campaign called Project 500 - to raise £500k by June 18th 2025 - to extend its mental wellbeing support to more and more areas of the UK, and help thousands more people.

Project 500 is a mass participation campaign - encouraging individuals, organisations, schools and community groups to get involved raising funds by taking on their own challenges. The goal is to get 500 people all fundraising to support the overall goal!!

Project 500 has been created by Mind Over Mountains founder Alex Staniforth - adventurer and mental health campaigner. Alex is leading the way with challenges of his own, and inviting as many people as possible to join him in this quest.

As people and organisations start to get involved, there is a need for a highly organised administrator to keep clear records of all the fundraisers, and to maintain communications with all of them. This voluntary role will see you being at the heart of the charity and its small team, working day to day with the Office Manager and Head of Marketing, as well as Alex the Founder. You will have excellent communications skills and be a whizz at keeping clear records, spotting errors/opportunities, and running programmes where you keep in regular contact with people. You will be enthusiastic and proactive, as your role will be to really encourage and support all the people who are getting involved, and ensure they are really cared for as they support us. Each person who fundraises for us is incredibly important and special to Mind Over Mountains, and we want to ensure they receive the best possible care and communication.

You will be a 'can do' person - willing to get fully involved, come up with ideas, and also to support other team members. You may also need to become involved in filing photography, documents or video from fundraisers. And - with training - you will create simple graphics using pre-made templates for use on our website to promote each person's involvement.

You will make a significant impact on the work of Mind Over Mountains, and therefore the people that our charity ultimately supports. These are members of the public, emergency responders, asylum seekers, carers, and anyone who is facing challenges with their mental wellbeing. We are a small, friendly team - including a number of volunteers - and we all work remotely. We chat regularly online via Teams calls or messaging, and we support each other fully. We can send more specific details about the role and tasks on request.

Thank you - we hope to hear from you soon.
