Events & Publicity Volunteer

Key Duties:  Representing the AONB at shows and events.  Providing information and advice for visitors.  Assisting with partnership events and activities.  Providing an AONB stand at visitor sites e.g visitor centres, museums, National Trust shop.  Raising awareness of the Mendip Hills Fund and how to donate.  Restocking Mendip Hills Fund badge boxes and collecting donations.  Assisting the AONB Unit in planning the annual events programme.  Distributing Mendip Hills AONB visitor leaflets. AONB Volunteer uniform.  Travel expenses (Maximum total claim of 40 miles@30p/mile).  Full induction to the role, regular volunteer meetings and specialist training as required.  Thank-You Events and opportunities to attend AONB Partnership events.
