About Mendip Community Credit Union
Membership of MCCU is open to people who live or work in Frome, Glastonbury, Wells, Shepton Mallet, Street and more rural parts of Mendip. We help members to get on top of their money - we call this 'financial health' .
We encourage regular saving ... as little as £1 per week. Our regular loans help members to save whilst they borrow ... loan repayments AND additions to savings will always be affordable. This saving pays off - the cost of borrowing reduces in stages as savings mount up.
MCCU has been conceived, developed, managed & run by volunteers - now for 25 years! We have always been a 'virtual' organisation - our service points are held in local libraries and our helpline, other admin and coordination is carried out by volunteers 'working' from home.

Member Support at Frome service point
Frome service point is open at the Library 10-11am each Saturday morning. Volunteers help members to join, apply for loans, manage savings & loan repayments.
