Summary
Our care homes in Burnham on Sea and in Bridgwater really need some gardening doing so the disabled people we look after can enjoy their outside spacesDetailed description
The disabled people we support in our residential care homes were heavily affected by the COVID 19 pandemic - because of their complex health needs they remained shielding even after restrictions were eased to protect their health. This isolation and separation from friends and family has taken a toll on their mental health and wellbeing. We would like to ensure that this year they can enjoy their gardens and get close to nature. The gardens need some tlc - with weeding and general gardening being a priority. We would love some help with this.
This is a great opportunity for team building and you will get to meet the staff and people we support at the care homes. Volunteering with us will be hard work but we will ensure you have as much fun as possible and enjoy your time with us. Your work will have such a huge impact on our disabled residents.
