Detailed description

Langley Trust has an exciting volunteer opportunity for an enthusiastic, creative and positive individual to join us in the role of Volunteer Arts and Craft Leader at our housing and resettlement services where we support clients with multiple needs.

 

We are looking for someone to work with clients on a variety of creative tasks and projects, to teach and guide them through practical work and experience, with the goal of helping to improve their self-esteem and confidence.

 

Not only will you make a real difference to the everyday lives of our clients, you will have a lot of fun along the way. If you love planning arts and crafts activities for others, and know what a difference these activities can make, then this is the role for you! 


Key responsibilities:


Working under the direction of Service Manager and other staff members:

 

1.    Find out the types of arts and crafts the clients are interested in doing.

2.    Run arts and craft sessions using the art workshop and available equipment/ materials.

3.    Encourage clients to keep the art area tidy and to help them to clear up.

4.    Inform staff about any materials that are needed so they can be purchased.
