Trustee Recruitment

We are actively seeking trustees to support the development and governance of our board. We have an open application process.

Being part of ITMP as a director offers an opportunity to support the development and sustainment of our charity and to really make a difference to young people and communities. Members of the Board of Trustees will ensure the strategic oversight of the charity’s finances and to support appropriate decisions and good governance of the organisation.

Main responsibilities of all Trustees are:

-         To set and maintain the charities vision, mission and values.

-         To promote ITMP and act in the best interests of the charity, its’ staff, beneficiaries and future beneficiaries at all times. Promoting and developing the charity for it to grow and maintain its relevance to society, in line with its marketing strategy.

Time Commitment & Obligations:

The Board meets a minimum of four times per year, plus extraordinary meetings as required to include financial review, policy and safeguarding as examples. Trustees are also expected to attend our AGM and community reception event.

In addition to these trustees may be asked to attend occasional public or private events, e.g., supporter/fundraising events, strategic planning days and public profile events.

We are also looking for a trustee aged between 16 - 25

Being a trustee is an important role with real responsibility and the ability to influence our work that helps young people and the wider community across Somerset and Devon each year.
