Reception Volunteers assist our front of house team providing a warm welcome and outstanding service to all visitors to the Museum. This includes orientation, a

Tasks

  • Welcoming visitors to the Museum. 
  • Processing admission and retail sales and enquiries.
  • Assisting museum staff with day to day activity in the reception area.

Who we’re looking for

We’re looking for volunteers who love meeting new people and busy environments

Experience in a retail environment and cash handling is not essential 

A day is typically from 09.30 to 15.00.


Training and support

We provide all volunteers with an induction. Additional training for all tasks and equipment use will be provided as necessary. 


What you’ll get out of it

  • Gain experience of volunteering in a museum, front of house environment.
  • Meet new people.
  • Work as part of a friendly team.
  • Help visitors enjoy their experience of our museum.
