Can you use Excel and have an awareness of simple cash accounts?

By joining our finance team you will use these skills to support our Rainbow, Brownie and Guide leaders, both directly and indirectly supporting our vision to help all girls know they can do anything.

What is the purpose of the role?

You will be part of a team whose role is to support our Rainbow, Brownie and Guide leaders and our trustees with a number of finance related tasks.

Who can do this role?

Any adult with relevant experience. We ask for a commitment of around 2 hours per month, but this can be done flexibly and at your home.

Some of what you will do:

As part of a team:

·        Assisting the events team with preparing simple budgets and managing finances (payments and receipts) for events.

·        Support and advice to leaders on accounts and gift aid.

·        Annual compliance check for unit bank accounts (tick box exercise).

·        Support to units setting up/closing bank accounts and changing signatories.

·        Review annual accounts and budget, and flag any concerns.

 What training and support do you get?

·        A clear complaints procedure to help sort out any problems or disagreements.

What skills do you need?

·        Ability to use Microsoft Excel/Google sheets and email

·        Ability to communicate clearly

·        An eye for detail

·        An awareness of cash accounts
