Volunteer

Volunteers at FordHaven will be reliable, pro-active and be responsive to childrens needs.

We have a variety of services we provide, so the hours vary and can be flexible to suit the right person.

Volunteers will fully engage in our sessions with the children & sometimes parents/carers, which can be anything from cooking, using clay and paints to playing board games.

You will be supported during sessions by other FordHaven Team Members and training will be provided.

FordHaven, based in Glastonbury is a hub for children in the Mendips and across Somerset. 

It is the creation of Roxie and Paul Ford. Our nurturing environment welcomes ALL children who require time and space in a setting created with them in mind. 

We help separated children & families to re-establish, repair and maintain bonds by providing a safe space to spend quality time together whilst also providing a space for those who are home-educated, struggling within school or are unable to attend school at this time.

There will be application and interview process required for this role, as well as the need for satisfactory references and DBS checks to be successful. This recruitment process takes time to complete to maintain our safeguarding requirements therefore, this is not an immediate role.
