SummarySupport for our shop assistance, greeting customers, showing them to items, help with cleaning and tidying the show room and donations
Detailed description

To assist our shop assistance we require friendly individuals, who are happy to greet our customers and point them in the right directions for their required purchases. Due to Covid19, our door is currently shut and we only allow a certain amount of customers inside. You would be willing to greet them, ensure they are wearing face coverings or offer a free one and ensure they are sanitizing their hands. You might tell them about any special events or offers. We need somebody who would be happy to take them around the shop or point them in the right direction, until a shop assistant becomes available to take their money or complete the necessary paperwork. We would welcome help with some cleaning, such as polishing and hoovering, or cleaning items before they enter our store. You could also help with sorting items and if willing answer the telephone and take messages. We will offer any training and you can progress to shop assistant if you wish to do so. You will be part of a great team and can gain manual handling training.

About Engage Furniture Re-Use
We sell and collect good quality second hand and new donated furniture, small electrical items, such as TV’s and DVD’s, stereos, radios, kettles, toasters, microwaves, etc. (not white goods) and smaller household items from mirrors, books, pictures, kitchenware, taleware, Christmas decoration, bric-a-brac, etc. We collect and deliver all over West Somerset and sometimes a bit further. Collections are free and delivery charges depend on location and are charged per delivery, not per item. All furniture are sold on a two tier pricing system, meaning people on means tested benefits can buy furniture for a reduced price. The project was stared, to enable people on lower household incomes, to buy good quality items of furniture, whilst reducing the amount going to landfill sites.
