We are looking for friendly people to join our shop team. You will be happy to greet people at the door and assist them with finding items, they would like to purchase. For furniture, we will require you to complete a simple sales form and potentially fill in a basic delivery schedule. We would ask you to complete simple till transactions and possible wrap items that can be taken away. Our shop assistance also answer the phone and assist with inquiries with regards to donations and sales. We offer full training for everything. If you are happy to do so, you can also amend our Facebook page with purchased items, or upload new ones to be sold. You can help with basic cleaning of items, sorting and displaying.
What we will provide to volunteers
💸 Reimbursement of costs🤝 Extra supportAbout Engage Furniture Re-Use
We sell and collect good quality second hand and new donated furniture, small electrical items, such as TV’s and DVD’s, stereos, radios, kettles, toasters, microwaves, etc. (not white goods) and smaller household items from mirrors, books, pictures, kitchenware, taleware, Christmas decoration, bric-a-brac, etc. We collect and deliver all over West Somerset and sometimes a bit further. Collections are free and delivery charges depend on location and are charged per delivery, not per item. All furniture are sold on a two tier pricing system, meaning people on means tested benefits can buy furniture for a reduced price. The project was stared, to enable people on lower household incomes, to buy good quality items of furniture, whilst reducing the amount going to landfill sites.
