Summary
Our shops play a key role in our work. By volunteering as a retail Assistant in our shop, your contribution will have an impact far into the future.Detailed description
- Stock sorting: assisting in the sorting, preparation and presentation of goods donated for sale
- Researching: looking up items on the internet to identify them and set a suitable price
- Steaming: using the steaming process to help prepare donated clothes and fabric items for sale on the shop floor
- Customer service: being friendly and helpful to customers in order to increase sales
- Till-operating: serving and assisting customers, taking payment for goods and entering transaction into cash register
- Housekeeping on the shop floor and in the stock room
The skills you need
- An interest in the shop, and an enthusiasm for raising money through its work
- The ability to work as part of a team and get on with other volunteers in the shop
- Be able to provide a friendly, high-quality service to customers
- A willingness to help with a range of tasks in the shop, and to undertake tasks as requested
- Reliability and Punctuality
We are also looking for Till Operators on Wednesday and Saturdays - am/pm shifts and Monday and Fridays- pm shifts

We give care and support to patients and their families in Bath and north east Somerset and parts of Wiltshire and Somerset, whenever they need it; at home, in the hospice, or at one of our outreach centres. We respect the uniqueness of each patient and their family, and empower them to choose the type of care they receive.
