We need Community Fundraising Volunteers to help represent us in your area and champion vital end-of-life care across our communities.
Detailed description
This is a people-facing volunteer opportunity that will help us to inspire our current and future supporters to take on fundraising for Dorothy House.
In this role you will attend events within the area Dorothy House covers (800 sq miles), connect with local groups, and support others to fundraise - all while helping Dorothy House deepen its roots and amplify its voice across our communities.
As a Community Fundraising Volunteer you will genuinely be making a difference. You will be directly helping to raise funds to ensure we continue to deliver more care to patients and families in our community.
You will need to be over 18 years old with access to your own transport.
What you will be doing
- Representing Dorothy House at community events, fundraisers, fairs, and social gatherings
- Speaking to groups, clubs, schools, or local audiences about our work and how to support it
- Inspiring people to become supporters, donors or volunteer fundraisers
- Sharing stories and updates to deepen community understanding and emotional connection
- Helping to amplify campaigns and events by distributing promotional materials locally
- Encouraging others to host events or take on fundraising challenges
- Celebrating success and thanking supporters warmly and personally

We give care and support to patients and their families in Bath and north east Somerset and parts of Wiltshire and Somerset, whenever they need it; at home, in the hospice, or at one of our outreach centres. We respect the uniqueness of each patient and their family, and empower them to choose the type of care they receive.
