About Conquest Centre
Conquest Centre is a grassroots charity providing therapeutic support for people of all ages, helping them to build confidence, improve wellbeing and develop meaningful connections. Our work includes therapeutic riding, counselling, equine-assisted therapy, Forest School, play therapy, sensory and small animal sessions, dog-assisted support and a range of other activities tailored to individual needs.
Weather permitting, much of our work takes place outdoors, making the most of nature and our wonderful therapy animals. Animals are at the heart of what we do, alongside nature, connection and wellbeing. Our herd and flock include horses, goats, sheep and a variety of birds, as well as a range of other therapy animals – each with their own personality and something special to offer.
We are based on a 20-acre site of fields and woodland near Norton Fitzwarren, with a wide range of facilities including stables and a yard, two covered arenas, woodland trails, Forest School, a sensory room, Changing Places facilities, an accessible play area, café and other spaces designed to support our clients.
Our approach is person-centred, trauma-informed, welcoming and non-judgemental. We create a place where people can feel safe, understood and accepted, build confidence, explore their potential and, importantly, simply be themselves.
