Volunteer Car Driver

We are looking for volunteers to drive clients to their medical journeys.

You would pick clients up from their home address and take them to their medical appointment at either a doctors surgery, hospital, dentist or sometimes day care, to name but a few.

We do not take clients shopping (we have a Slinky bus for that) however journeys are judged on the own merits as to how the journey would impact the clients mental health )

Volunteers must have their own car.

You can commit as much time as you like, there is no minimum or maximum

Journeys usually run 8am to 5pm although sometimes we have the occasion request for outside these hours.

We are looking for volunteers in the following areas

Yeovil, Crewkerne, Chard, Ilminster, Langport, Somerton, Martock, South Petherton and surrounding areas.

We reimburse our volunteers there mileage expenses

45p per mile without the client and 50p per mile with the client.

All volunteers must have a DBS which we would carryout through our organization.
