Our Peer Support Volunteers will be instrumental in ensuring the smooth running of our Project at The Hive, Chard.
Alongside staff and volunteers, you could be involved with the many different and varied activities needed for our Project to run smoothly. Some of the tasks you could help with are:
- Learning about peer support through engaging with members
- Helping with teas and coffees.
- Setting up and clearing away the room
- Tea and talk time
- Supporting planned activities
The best person for this role will be warm and friendly, organised and can link well with our members with compassion, patience and empathy. A willingness to get involved and reliable.
You may have lived experience of mental health and recovery and be able to share experience to support, empower and bring hope to others. This is valued in Watch.
It would also be great if you had good knowledge of person-centred practice.
Our Thursday project is at The Hive between 10 am and 3 pm. Help with setting up from 9 am and packing up from 2.45 pm.

About WATCH CIO
Watch has big ambitions to end isolation for people experiencing mental health difficulties. We know how connecting people with shared experiences of mental health challenges can empower each of us, which is why peer support is at the heart of everything we do. People thrive when they can maintain their own wellbeing, build self-resilience and develop skills. Supporting that journey is what Watch is all about.
