Detailed description

We are a peer led community project and peer support is at the heart of what we do.

We are part of an exciting project led by Bournemouth Symphony Orchestra and the Octagon Theatre to have weekly music making sessions at ARK in Merriott.

Up to 8 Watch members will attend each week. ARK will provide minibus transport to collect members and a volunteer from Boden Centre, Chard and return to Chard at the end of the session.

As a volunteer, you will attend the session in a pastoral support role. You will support members during the sessions, helping them to communicate and participate. As a result, you will play a role in building members confidence and validating members contribution to the project.

Staff from BSO/Octagon and ARK will be on site in case of need.

About WATCH CIO

Watch has big ambitions to end isolation for people experiencing mental health difficulties. We know how connecting people with shared experiences of mental health challenges can empower each of us, which is why peer support is at the heart of everything we do.  People thrive when they can maintain their own wellbeing, build self-resilience and develop skills. Supporting that journey is what Watch is all about.
