Summary

Treasurer to provide regular financial advice and reports to charity's Management Committee and to oversee budgeting and spending for busy community hall.

Detailed description

Caryford Community Hall needs to recruit a Treasurer to provide regular financial advice and reports to the charity and to oversee budgeting and spending.

You do not need to be a qualified accountant to take on the role of Treasurer. Training in charity accounting will be available from the Community Council for Somerset.

The Committee has decided that in future its Treasurer will be provided with assistance in their financial recording and bookkeeping roles and is actively exploring how this can be recruited.

As well as handling the income and expenses of a busy community hall, the Treasurer will be involved in budgeting and cost controls. The Hall currently has an ambitious building extension project underway. Our new Treasurer may also wish to be involved with the team fund raising for this, together with arranging contract payments during the construction phase.
