Shop Assistant Volunteer

Cards For Good Causes is the trading company of The 1959 group of Charities, supporting it’s 25 Members, as well as more than 200 local and national charities by selling a huge range of charity cards and gifts at more than 300 pop-up shops across the UK. We rely on the amazing support of more than 5,000 volunteers in order for this to happen. If you have time to spare, have good organisational skills, are able to lift boxes and are in good health then you can help make a difference to the lives of people across the UK What’s involved? • Helping to set up, and/or close down one (or more!) of our 300 pop up shops • Lifting and handling boxes of stock • Helping to unpack, sort and display stock • Setting up shop equipment, such as card stands, display units, tables etc. • Organising stock on display and off the shop floor (stockroom space/store space) • Working with the shop manager and other volunteers in a collaborative way • You will need to be able to lift and in good health What’s in it for me? • Gain hands-on experience of working within a friendly charity sector team • The opportunity to enhance your CV • Help support charities you care about.
