Are you able to confidently use a computer and have a passion for helping people? This could be the perfect opportunity for you. Since 2014 CSW have been developing a non-judgmental, non-training volunteering/peer support project aimed at developing Digital Skills and supporting individuals to feel confident, safe and motivated to use ICT necessary for their everyday life. Not only have our learners developed new skills ad confidence but friendships have been made and nurtured from a social inclusion point of view these sessions deliver social outcomes as well as skills. We are looking for Volunteers to support people with Digital Skills during a multi agency drop in session for rough sleepers in the Bridgwater locality to use a computer to access housing support, setting up Credit Union accounts and completing forms and systems online. This is an ideal opportunity for anyone who has life experience of the issues faced by Rough Sleepers, individuals who have previously worked with Rough Sleepers or for those who are looking to develop a career within this area of work. It would also be an excellent opportunity for anyone with a few hours to spare weekly and would like to be involved in something positive within their community - helping may rough sleepers in the local area and supporting them to move forward with their lives as well as improving your own skills and building on your CV. You will be supported by member of CSW Volunteers team and will be part of a the Digital Link team. You will not be lone working and will be part of a multi agency drop in session alongside other relevant organisations. You will gain: knowledge and skills relating to issues of working with Rough Sleepers team work talking and listening to others expand your skills with ICT Access to our online training hub with a variety of training modules for your to complete if you wish which will enhance your CV, We will act as a reference contact for you after you have successfully volunteered with us for 6 month period. 3 hours weekly Monday mornings 9.30-12.30
