This role will involve supporting members in a cafe and a pub (on the same evening).
BANDs aims to provide a safe and welcoming environment for people, especially those without social opportunities which encourage peer-to-peer networking and developing and maintaining shared interests.
Role Description:
- Meeting and greeting members
- Encouraging members to play games
- Supporting them to make decisions regarding the menu and activities
- Helping to create a newsletter with the members input
- Supervising members when main facilitator is out the room
Skills required:
- Willingness to adapt to neurodiverse thinking
- Punctuality
- Friendly and approachable
- Ability to start conversations with people who are a bit shy about talking
- Good listener
- Confidence to report any safeguarding concerns to safeguarding lead
This could be just for the afternoon or for the early evening session.
