Summary

This role will involve supporting members in a cafe and a pub (on the same evening).

Detailed description

BANDs aims to provide a safe and welcoming environment for people, especially those without social opportunities which encourage peer-to-peer networking and developing and maintaining shared interests.


Role Description:


  • Meeting and greeting members
  • Encouraging members to play games
  • Supporting them to make decisions regarding the menu and activities
  • Helping to create a newsletter with the members input
  • Supervising members when main facilitator is out the room


Skills required:


  • Willingness to adapt to neurodiverse thinking
  • Punctuality
  • Friendly and approachable
  • Ability to start conversations with people who are a bit shy about talking
  • Good listener
  • Confidence to report any safeguarding concerns to safeguarding lead


This could be just for the afternoon or for the early evening session.
