Detailed description

Aim of volunteering role: We are very grateful for all donations which are given to the charity, many of which are used directly for the rescue’s benefit. There are always none-food items which are surplus to requirements at the centre but are equally as valuable to us, as they can be sold to raise much needed funds for the animal rescue work done by the charity. In order to make the most of these donations, there is a need for a volunteer(s) to sort the donations into organised spaces for ease of use.

 

Tasks:

· To regularly sort through none food donations at the centre

and store appropriately according to use

· To identify suitable items for future sale at car boot sales

· To follow all instruction and training given including Health &

Safety

 

Time commitment: To suit you

 

Where: Happy Landings Animal Rescue, Pye Hill, Pylle, Shepton Mallet, Somerset, BA4 6TG. Any car boot sales.

 

What you need to have:

·  This role has a minimum age of 18

·  Interest in the animal charity work of Happy Landings

Animal Rescue

·  An organised approach for sorting, and the ability to get on

with tasks independently

·  A friendly outgoing personality and confidence to sell!

·  Your own vehicle, drivers license and appropriate insurance,

or access to a vehicle if not driven by you with appropriate

insurance

· Good mobility as lifting and carrying will be involved
