We're looking for community hosts to commit 2 hours a month to run a social of your choice (think games, crafts, walks, etc!) for adults experiencing isolation.

🧡 Could your area benefit from a Wobbly Social?

Wobbly Socials is a Bristol-based non-profit building a community for adults aged 18–65 who normally struggle to socialise. Many of our community are neurodivergent, dealing with long term mental or physical health conditions, new to the area, going through a big life change, or simply finding that making friends as an adult can be really hard.

We run friendly, affordable socials where you can turn up, try something fun and meet people without the pressure, all designed with our guiding principles in mind to keep things as accessible as possible. Think walks, board games, crafts, coffee and more.

We’ve built a lovely community here in Bristol and now we want to make sure people outside Bristol have the same opportunity to find their people.

That's where you come in! 🤝

We’re looking for volunteer hosts in Bath, Somerset & South Gloucestershire who’d like to help us bring Wobbly Socials to their local community.

You don't need to be an events organiser or have any previous experience. We’ll give you full training, help you find a venue, promote your social and support you throughout.

All we ask is around 2 hours a month to host something you enjoy. It could be a coffee, a craft session, a games night or something completely different. We’re always open to ideas!

You bring the enthusiasm. We’ll help with the rest.

And because we believe cost shouldn’t be a barrier to connection, our socials are designed to be affordable with most events costing less than a fiver to attend and an additional 10% of spaces are reserved free of charge for people experiencing circumstances such as homelessness, domestic abuse, financial hardship, or displacement.

Our goal is simple: to make sure no one has to feel wobbly about socialising, wherever they are.

If you think you could help create a friendly place for people to meet, connect and make friends, we’d love to hear from you.

About Wobbly Socials CIC

At Wobbly Socials we're building a community for adults aged 18-65 who feel wobbly about socialising. In short, we want to reduce isolation by creating welcoming, creative spaces that are easily accessible to adults. We do this through low pressure social events, creative workshops and online spaces. We welcome anyone who feels nervous or doesn’t usually have the time to socialise.

We provide these services because loneliness doesn’t discriminate, anyone of any age, place or background can feel lonely. Loneliness can be temporary, such as moving to a new city or starting a new job but loneliness can also be long term. No matter what kind of loneliness you’re feeling, we’re here to support you.
