Volunteer Governor Opportunity — Blenheim Lodge Residential Home (Charitable Organisation)
Blenheim Lodge Residential Home is a long-established, non-profit charitable care home dedicated to providing high-quality, compassionate residential care in a warm and supportive environment. We are currently seeking a committed and enthusiastic individual to join our Board of Governors.
This is a rewarding voluntary role for someone who wishes to make a meaningful difference in the lives of older people while contributing to the strategic direction and governance of a respected community charity.
About the Role
As a Governor, you will work collaboratively with fellow board members and the management team to:
Provide strategic oversight and guidance
Ensure the charity operates in line with its values, objectives, and legal obligations
Support the long-term sustainability and development of the Home.
Act as an ambassador for Blenheim Lodge within the community.
Board meetings are held periodically throughout the year, with additional involvement as required.
We Are Looking For Someone Who:
-Is committed to the wellbeing of older people.
-Has good judgement, integrity, and a collaborative approach
-Can contribute skills, experience, or professional insight (e.g. healthcare, finance, legal, HR, property, governance, or community engagement — though not essential)
-Is able to dedicate time to attend meetings and review documentation
-Shares the charitable ethos and values of the Home
-Previous board experience is welcome but not required. Full induction and support will be provided.
