Summary

Good Stuff project are looking for volunteers for our Saturday sessions. There are a variety of activities to get involved in including crafts, food and sport.

Detailed description

Good Stuff is a Lottery-funded project which aims to bring people together, improve life and provide opportunities for people living in Wincanton to develop new skills and interests, and increase community activity. Good Stuff provide food, activities and events every Saturday at the Balsam Centre. The food and activities are either free or very low cost to try to make them accessible for as many of the community as possible. We are looking for volunteers to support the staff on these Saturdays - this could be by making bacon sandwiches to sell in the cafe, supervising sports activities or running craft sessions. The Saturday element of the project is only just beginning so there is a lot of scope to bring in new ideas and expand what we are already doing.

We would really struggle to run the Saturday sessions without our volunteers - we have had a really positive response from the community regarding the activities and we are keen to continue with them for as long as possible.
