Could you be a Nature Buddy? Nature Buddies are part of the step into nature programme. They are volunteers who support people to connect with nature.

Nature Buddies are part of the step into nature programme. They are volunteers who support people to connect with nature. Nature Buddies build an individual's confidence and ability to take part in the activity which has been prescribed for them. The Buddy helps them to overcome any barriers that stand in their way. A Nature Buddy will get to know the person they are supporting and will encourage them on their journey to living a healthier and happier life.

This is a new volunteering role for the Balsam Centre coming under the umbrella of Open Mental Health.

This role would suit someone with a keen interest in nature and being outdoors (you don't need to be a nature expert!). It would also suit someone who is friendly, approachable and a good listener.

Training will be provided - this role offers the chance for personal development for the volunteer and also increased personal happiness, health and sense of purpose. It's a chance to make a positive impact in your local community. Get in touch if you'd like to hear more about the application process.
