Nature Buddies Support Volunteer

Nature Buddies are part of the step into nature programme. They are a volunteer who supports someone to connect with nature.  The nature buddy builds the person's confidence and ability to take part in the activity which has been prescribed for them. The buddy helps them to overcome any barriers that stand in their way. A nature buddy will find what best suits the person they are supporting and will support them on their journey to living a healthier and happier life.

This is a new volunteering role for the Balsam Centre coming under the umbrella of Open Mental Health.

This role would suit someone with a keen interest in nature and being outdoors (you don't need to be a nature expert!). It would also suit someone who is friendly, approachable and a good listener.

Training will be provided - this role offers the chance for personal development for the volunteer and also increased personal happiness, health and sense of purpose.
