To join a team doing exciting Christian-based community work in Taunton. We would like someone to write grant applications and build our local donations base.
The job involves applying for grants and seeking local donations from supporters and churches.
You will be part of a team which makes a big impact amongst needy and vulnerable people. We have 30 volunteer chaplains in care homes, courts, the railway station, working with the homeless, in parks, retail and an office.
You will gain much satisfaction in fundraising for a charity, knowing that ultimately you will be benefitting the less fortunate in our town. Full support will be provided from the present postholder who is an experienced fundraiser. Main contacts will be with the Lead Chaplain, Treasurer, and Chair of trustees.
We subscribe to a national database of grant opportunities. Experience shows that 3 to 4 applications a year may be needed.

The Chaplaincy is a Christian organisation but volunteers will help those of any faith or none at all. This charity started operations in 2010.
