We are looking for volunteers to help support our Wellbeing Group on Mondays and Wednesdays, 1000 am - 200 pm
We would love more volunteers to help with the Wellbeing sessions. This involves talking to people who may be lonely or have personal problems they wish to feel better about. If you have a flair for art and crafts we need help with inspiring people at our crafts table, or if you can spare a few hours to help on occasions with knitting and crocheting then we would love to hear from you. We also need help cooking toast for those who come in, helping with washing up, Toast and refreshments are provided for the Wellbeing sessions for free. There is a lot going on in the church on the Wellbeing days and it is great fun with people to talk to and plenty to do.
A bit of background:
We found that there are people in Bridgwater and surrounding areas who are lonely, or feeling insecure, or are bored, or finding things financially difficult and they just need somewhere to go where they feel safe, secure and warm and have someone to talk to. We have extended our Wellbeing Wednesdays to Wellbeing Mondays as well in response to need. We also open some Saturdays. These sessions are proving popular and successful. All are welcome to these sessions. We need more volunteers to help us move forward with this. If you are interested in positively supporting people, please get in touch.
The hours are 10.00 am to 2.00 am Mondays and Wednesdays. Or Saturdays 11.30 am - 3.30 pm
