Join the team in our new shop, with flexible roles and hours available to suit you and your lifestyle.
As a Retail Shop Volunteer, you’ll be part of a friendly and supportive team, helping with a variety of tasks such as:
- Greeting customers, receiving donations, and promoting Gift Aid when items are donated.
- Preparing donated stock for sale, including sorting, steaming, hanging, and pricing.
- Assisting staff with replenishing shop floor displays to maximise sales.
- Operating the till in line with the organisation’s cash-handling procedures (full training provided).
- Delivering excellent customer service to all visitors.
- Promoting and selling St Margaret’s Lottery tickets.
- Handling cash and card transactions securely.
- Helping to maintain a clean, tidy, and safe shop environment.
- Supporting with other general retail tasks as needed.
We can also offer specific volunteering roles depending on your preference. Whether you’d like to be customer-facing on the till or prefer a behind-the-scenes role, we’ll work with you to find the right fit.
