Somerset Youth Theatre CIC is looking for inspiring and forward-thinking
- Chair of our Board of Advisors. This is an exciting opportunity to play a key role in shaping the future of SYT, ensuring its long-term success and impact on young people across Somerset.
To join our Volunteer Board of Advisors
Location: Remote, with occasional meetings in Taunton, Somerset, UK.
Commitment: Flexible hours, approximately 3-5 hours per month, with additional 4 x 2hr Board of Advisor, online meetings per year
You will:
- Be a part of the Board of Advisors, contributing to the strategic direction of SYT.

Job Responsibilities
As Chair of the Board of Advisors, you will provide strategic leadership, guidance, and oversight to help shape the future of SYT. This is an opportunity to use your leadership skills to support an innovative and growing organisation that makes a tangible impact on young lives.
- Lead the Board of Advisors, ensuring it functions effectively and supports SYT's strategic direction.
- Act as a key ambassador for SYT, advocating for the organisation within the community and beyond.
- Provide oversight, governance, and strategic insight to help shape SYT's long-term vision.
- Work closely with the Directors to support the organisation's growth, sustainability, and impact.
- Facilitate Board meetings, ensuring constructive discussions and effective decision-making.
- Support SYT in fundraising, partnership development, and stakeholder engagement.
