We are looking for a volunteer to support the Mendip team in carrying out practical habitat and estate management tasks across our reserves
Tasks will include coppicing, scrub clearing, fencing, tree felling, dry stone walling, tree planting and hedge laying. You will also assist with day-to-day operation and maintenance of reserve structures, machinery and tools, and may also work alongside some of our wonderful Mendip-based volunteer groups.
You will be suited to this role if you are passionate about practical conservation, looking to gain experience and are willing to work outdoors in all weather conditions. We ask that you are over 18 and can provide your own transport to Priory Farm (Sages Lane, Chewton Mendip). You don't need any previous experience, just a willingness to learn!
To get the most out of this role and support our team, we are looking for someone who is available for at least one day a week, Monday - Thursday between 8:30am and 4:30pm.
