Summary

We are looking for a volunteer to oversee and lead on the Health and Wellbeing aspects of our Men's Shed activities

Detailed description

SLaMS is a small (currently <£25K annual turnover) charity, See our Annual Reports on The Charity Commission website for details of what we do.

We are now looking for a volunteer to advise our board of trustees as we move forward with our plans to expand our facilities and activities in Bridgwater, reaching out to more people at risk of social isolation

You will make an impact through your contribution, advising and leading on aspects of Health and Wellbeing. Through informal training and one-to-one conversations you will raise awareness of men's health and wellbeing issues, encouraging Shed volunteers and members to benefit fully from the overall Shed ethos and environment.

This is both a strategic and a hands-on role, since we encourage all our volunteers to engage with members in Shed activities. You will gain much from interaction with a diverse group of people, and your involvement will make a significant difference to the lives of those who attend the Shed.
