Walk Leader (Wilstock & Stockmoor Country Park)

Wilstock and Stockmoor Country Park is a beautiful 42 hectare site comprising of meadows, ponds, rhynes and young woodland copses. It's a fantastic place to spot wildlife, particularly birds and insects. Help others to explore our beautiful wildlife and sites while getting some gentle exercise! We would like to offer a series of regular health walk-style guided walks around our larger sites, for residents who don’t have the confidence to explore the sites on their own or would like the opportunity to socialise.

We would like our volunteer to help more people engage with their local green space and hopefully see improvements in their health and wellbeing as a result. Walks are open to the public and are not bookable so we will not know how many will turn up on the day! Walks will last an hour approximately. You will plan the routes with help from our Community Rangers.

You'll learn about the wildlife and history of the site and be able to choose your own walk leader hours. Experience is useful but not necessary.

You will also need to be able to lead walks on uneven terrain in various weather conditions throughout the year.

All training is provided.
