Do you have lived experience of Somerset Alcohol and Drug Services? Can you spare a day every month or so to help develop better services?

The Somerset Strategic Drug and Alcohol Partnership (SSDAP) Board needs volunteers with personal experience to bring practical, real‑world insight that can complement professional and technical knowledge. 

What you will be doing:

  • Attending and participate in quarterly SSDAP meetings online or In-person 
  • Review the agenda and any papers before the meeting and discuss them with the Partnership Manager 
  • Suggest agenda items, if you feel they are needed 
  • Have a post‑meeting debrief

What you can expect:

  • Opportunity to gain the skills involved with being a member of a large board. 
  • Access to training if needed for the role
  • A good addition to your CV, improving employability 
  • Satisfaction of supporting drug & alcohol services in Somerset

This role will take a maximum of a day a month of your time, sometimes less.
