We want volunteers to help with visitor management, which includes providing information about where to go and what to do.

Berrow Dunes Local Nature Reserve is a special place - it forms part of the larger Berrow Dunes SSSI (Site of Special Scientific Interest), an area of great ecological importance. Sat immediately behind Berrow Beach, the sand dunes are home to over 270 species of flowering plant and many insects and birds. The site needs careful management to both reduce erosion and enhance biodiversity.

We want volunteers to help with visitor management, which includes carrying out visitor counts, providing information about where to go, what to do and what to see on site, encouraging responsible behaviour and reporting visitor conflicts.

Roaming Rangers act as the eyes and ears of the ranger team, reporting issues such as storm damage, fallen trees etc, as and when they see them.

You'll learn about the wildlife and history of the site and be able to choose your own ranging hours. Experience is useful but not necessary.

You will also need to be able to work on uneven terrain in various weather conditions throughout the year.

All training is provided.
