Join us as a Citizenship Ceremony volunteer and be part of creating a special memory for new UK citizens.

We are looking for volunteers to help before, during and after our monthly group citizenship ceremonies.  This role will provide participants with memories to treasure, ensuring that every new citizen and their guests feel welcomed on their special day.

What you will be doing:

  • Helping set up for the ceremony
  • Meeting and greeting new citizens and their guests when they arrive
  • Helping to ensure the safety of participants at all times
  • Assisting with the serving of refreshments
  • Helping guests to leave the building at the end of the ceremony
  • Supporting with tidying and packing away after the event

What you can expect:

  • An opportunity to ensure the ceremony is well run, providing a lovely day to remember
  • To be part of a team, make new friends and meet new people
  • Full training will be given

The volunteering happens once a month, from either 11 am to 2 pm, or 11 am to 4 pm depending on whether there are one or two ceremonies. Hours are negotiable and all training is provided.
