Marketing Coordinator Volunteer

We’re looking for a creative and organised volunteer to support the development of Somerset Bus Partnership’s printed marketing materials. You will work alongside our Operations and events team and an external graphic designer to help ensure our campaigns and events are professionally supported and widely promoted.

📝Key Responsibilities:

• Draft and develop copy for printed marketing materials (e.g. posters, banners, social media graphics, decals, timetables)
• Coordinate with our external designer on layout and branding
• Liaise with printers and manage the production process
• Manage the budget.
• Organise the distribution of marketing materials to bus user groups, local bus champions, and the wider public
• Maintain and update our marketing contacts database, including parish magazines and local media outlets
• Adhoc tasks as required

🕒 Time Commitment

Work is spread throughout the year, with busier periods from January–March and June–early October.

Estimated commitment: 4-8 hours per month during peak periods quieter non peak periods.

🙋 Skills & Qualities We’re Looking For

• Strong written and communication skills
• Good organisational ability
• Interest in community promotion and public transport
• Basic understanding of marketing and working with designers
• Experience with print materials is helpful, but not essential

🌍 Location

Remote and flexible – most tasks can be done from home with occasional local engagement if desired.

It would also be helpful if you could attend one of our bus stalls to gain insight into the advocacy work we do.
