As a call companion you’ll make regular telephone calls to an older person experiencing loneliness and isolation.
Are you friendly, warm and enjoy talking to people? Would you like a flexible volunteering opportunity that is only 20 - 30 minutes a week and to make a difference for an older person?
As a call companion you’ll make wonderful regular telephone calls to the same older person who is experiencing loneliness and isolation. These friendly chats are great to get to know someone and also lifeline of friendship for older people as a vital link with the outside world from which they’ve become isolated.
This is a flexible, homebased volunteering role that can easily be fitted in around your own lifestyle and availability.
Please note that you must be at least 18 years old to become a Re-engage volunteer.
