We are run entirely by volunteers and have created a very friendly and welcoming environment for volunteers to meet people, make friends and contribute to the community.
Volunteers serving behind the counter work in pairs in 2 hour shifts. We're open Tuesdays to Sundays from 10.00am to 4.30pm (4pm during December-February). You earn points for every shift you work and also for baking, cooking and support activities, and our excess profits are shared out based on points and are donated to your nominated charity. Since we opened in 2006, we have donated over £250,000 to charity.
We offer on-the-job training plus certified food hygiene and first aid training opportunities.
You can work as many shifts as you wish and can either do a regular shift or can fill in where needed. We operate a fully flexible rota that you can access online and select when you wish to work. We welcome all contributions, even if you can only do an occasional shift.
