Summary

Join us for a community tree planting event at Middle Hope, near Weston-super-Mare.

Detailed description

We are holding a community tree planting event on Friday 5th December at Middle Hope. We are helping to plant 3,000 trees, to create a thriving woodland to provide vital habitat for species like the purple hairstreak butterfly. We have space available to host a group – you do not need any experience tree planting and we would provide all equipment, you would just need suitable clothing and footwear. We have portaloos booked for the event, and water and refreshments will be available.

We are offering two sessions:

12-1:30 - calm low noise session, our staff are confident working with neurodivergent people and we will be on hand to support you throughout the session. Adult only.

1:30-3:30 - open to anyone who would like to come, including children.

Getting there

Our meeting place is Middle Hope car park where you will be able to park free of charge. To get to Middle Hope car park follow the directions for Woodspring Priory and take a right into the National Trust car park. On Google Maps it is called Middle Hope National Trust Car Park. what3words is ///juggles.jokers.streak

About National Trust - Somerset Coast & Countryside

As Europe’s largest conservation charity, we look after nature, beauty and history for everyone to enjoy. We do it with the help of millions of members, volunteers, staff and donors. Without this, we couldn’t care for the miles of coastline, woodlands, countryside and the hundreds of historic buildings, gardens and precious collections we protect.

Volunteering on the coast or in the countryside enables you to get outdoors and play a vital role in managing and conserving precious natural environments for both people to enjoy and wildlife to thrive.
