Summary

The Museum of East Asian Art is looking for volunteers to help with Front of House duties in the Museum's shop.

Detailed description

The Museum of East Asian Art is a heritage charity, set up to preserve and share the rich cultural and artistic traditions of East and Southeast Asia. Situated in a townhouse just off The Circus, the Museum's collection has over 2,000 objects that span the last 7,000 years of East and Southeast Asian history.

The Museum is looking for friendly and personable volunteers to help with retail duties in its shop. The shop features the works of contemporary artists from East and Southeast Asia. Front of House volunteers will greet visitors to the Museum, process transactions, and help our Retail Manager keep the shop stocked up and tidy.

Alongside helping out in the shop, becoming a volunteer at the Museum offers a large range of training and social opportunities. From talks by experts on East Asian history, to workshops in East Asian artistic practices like knot-tying and calligraphy, it is a great opportunity for anybody interested in the rich cultures of East and Southeast Asia.
