Summary
Offering a warm welcome to visitors to the Museum. Answering questions about the exhibits. Ensuring the safety of visitors.
Detailed description
Stewards are the public face of the Museum, helping to create a positive and memorable experience for them. Duties include meeting and greeting visitors, answering questions about the exhibits, dealing with sales of books and other items.
While having some knowledge of Minehead's history is an advantage, it is by no means essential. Full training will be given to ensure you will feel confident in your role and are well-equipped to answer visitors' questions about the Museum and its exhibits. All you need is genuine interest, enthusiasm and a welcoming smile.

About Minehead Museum
Minehead Museum is a small local museum in the heart of Minehead. It invites visitors to the town and local residents to find out about the fascinating history of Minehead and Alcombe. Exhibits include a Hobby Horse, a scale model of the pier that was taken down in WW2, information about the Great Fire of Minehead, Arthur C Clark and much more. The Museum is staffed and managed entirely by volunteers and new volunteers are always welcome.
