Summary
We have various volunteering roles from working with our animals to gardening, woodwork, admin and social media/marketing support
Detailed description
We are a small farm based in West Ashton, Trowbridge, whose main purpose is to work with children and adults with Special Education Needs and Disabilities (SEND). We have horses, donkeys, goats, pigs, sheep, a variety of poultry, rabbits and guinea pigs. We also have an area where we practice carpentry and other practical skills, have two growing areas (a polytunnel and outdoor beds), a small orchard and a pond. We also back directly on to Biss Woods, so have the ability to go for nature walks in the woods.
We have various volunteering roles. At the moment we are particularly looking for:
- Equine support (people to support our work with horses and donkeys)
- Horticulture (support with all-things growing, weeding, planting, harvesting, watering etc.)
- Administration (helping with regular tasks such as printing, formatting etc.)
- Content gathering / writing (creating posts for social media, writing blog articles, interviewing staff/students/volunteers)
- Design and Technology / Woodwork / other practical skills (to work with one of our Support Workers and the students on various projects)
