Summary

Oversight of the museum with particular responsibility for social media.

Detailed description

Have you got a passion for the heritage of Axbridge and the surrounding area?

Are you a lover of all things Axbridge and enjoy finding out more about the history of our marvellous town? Axbridge Museum is a registered charity and, thanks to an amazing group of volunteers, opens its doors to the public during the spring and summer months. Visitors include local schools, residents and visitors to Somerset who enjoy a couple of hours covering the three floors of the Hunting Lodge.

The charity is led by a small group of volunteers called trustees who make up a small team (called the Board) who make sure we achieve all of our aims.

We hope you might be interested to join us and help develop the museum for future generations. We appreciate that your time is valuable, yet we look for team members to give up around 2 hours each month to meet and discuss the work of the museum. Whilst meetings are often in the evening, we would consider changes to day/time/venue to attract candidates.

At this time we especially would like to find someone who has a great understanding of social media and who would frequently author and publish output.

We are looking for someone to:

•       Develop a social media strategy

•       Gain approval from the Board for budget and implementation

•       Review existing materials

•       Ensure all streams are kept up to date

•       Audit content to maintain standards
