To provide a friendly and welcoming presence in the Museum's galleries: helping visitors of all ages get the most from their visit, while helping to look after the collection on display.
• Welcome, engage and interact with visitors
• Provide friendly orientation and information about the Museum
• Help make sure every visitor has a safe and enjoyable visit
• Support Museum events
• Share information and interpretation about current exhibitions and displays
• Support visitors who may need extra help or have accessibility needs
• Help welcome and support new volunteers
Are you: Friendly, approachable and reliable; comfortable talking with a wide range of people; enjoy learning about local history and sharing it with others?
No specific experience is needed- training is given. Good communication skills help, and an interest in local or social history is a bonus rather than a requirement.
