Travel on our steam train rides, engage with the customers, check their tickets! Fun, sociable volunteering role. DofE applicants welcome.
The ESR is open to the public from middle of March to end of October at weekends (and Wednesdays and Thursdays in the summer). A Rota is issued to volunteers to give their availability so time commitment is flexible. Excellent role for those seeking experience dealing with the public.

As well as hands-on, practical work maintaining our railway line and our steam locomotive and Signal Box restoration projects, we require public facing roles during the summer season such as Guards, Travelling Ticket Inspectors, Shop and Ticket Office staff.
