The East Somerset Railway is on the look out for people to welcome our visitors as they arrive, give information and generally be a friendly face for all who visit our Heritage Steam Railway. Training will be given and time commitments are very flexible, just sign up for days you are available each month. The ESR is open to the public running steam engine trips from the middle of March until the end of October each year.

As well as hands-on, practical work maintaining our railway line and our steam locomotive and Signal Box restoration projects, we require public facing roles during the summer season such as Guards, Travelling Ticket Inspectors, Shop and Ticket Office staff. The ESR is a dynamic and friendly organization that offers flexible time commitment according to your availability, social events, free train rides for you and discounts for your friends and family.
