A responsible role ensuring smooth running of our train services and safety of passengers. Full training provided.
Our Guards are responsible for the train and the safety of the passengers. This is a vital role and requires good communication skills for liaising with colleagues at the station and on the footplate as well as with our visitors. Guards need to be reasonably fit as some physical work is involved. Flexible time commitments. The Railway is open from mid March to end of October every weekend, additionally Wednesdays and Thursdays during the summer months.
