Theatre company management

You don't need practical experience, for example as an actor. It's more important that you just enjoy going to the theatre. You possibly enjoy other areas of the arts as well.

We put on immersive small-scale plays in non-traditional venues, such as pub rooms. So we don't do the kind of big-stage musicals that many theatres put on to please the crowds. We're a bit more niche than that. And we're always on the look-out for new and different plays.

We’re looking to augment our small planning and management team, and we'd love you to join us.

The Steering Group guides our strategy, selects plays and appoints play directors. So we sit around, read scripts, and chat about which ones we like. And there's background work that needs to be done, such as publicity, finance, front of house, and liaising with volunteers. Not to mention putting out chairs and dealing with the public.

The work is unpaid, but it's a big, unique and challenging experience.
