To be a volunteer member of the BGFC Traffic Management Team.
Traffic management is a big part of a successful event. Our traffic team are responsible for the road closures, signage and traffic flow for all BGFC events plus other charity events throughout Somerset.
This role involves lifting and carrying traffic management equipment (signs, cones, sand bags etc.) and working in inclement weathers - often late into the evening.

The Bridgwater Carnival is the UK's oldest and one of Europe's largest illuminated procession events, held annually on the first Saturday in November in Bridgwater, Somerset, to commemorate the Guy Fawkes Plot of 1605. It features massive, elaborate carts with thousands of lights, marching bands, costumed performers, music, dance, and culminates in a spectacular firework display known as squibbing, attracting huge crowds. It's the first event in the Somerset County Carnival Circuit.
